A client called last week to advise that her husband had had a serious stroke and is unable to communicate. She now desperately regrets that they didn’t take out a Health and Welfare Lasting Power of Attorney at the same time as they each took out a Property and Financial Affairs Lasting Power of Attorney.

Not only is she very distressed at this current time, but she is also faced with having to apply to the Court of Protection to get herself appointed as her husband’s deputy so that she can take care of his health and welfare needs.

Please don’t find yourself in this unfortunate situation.

Act now and ask Christie Munro to prepare  both forms of Lasting Power of Attorney on your behalf.
